The spread: 0.19 to 2.40 dollars per 1,000 puffs

That is a 13-to-1 spread inside one catalog, and it runs against sticker price: the cheapest devices to buy are the most expensive to own. The formula is list price ÷ (rated puffs ÷ 1,000). Ratings are machine-drawn short puffs, so nobody hits the number — but every brand rates the same way, which keeps the ranking honest even when the absolute count is optimistic.
Three caveats before the table. Pod systems are listed by the kit price, which includes a battery you keep — buy pods afterwards and the number drops (the pod systems shelf has the kit-versus-pod table). Devices with a boost or Pulse mode are rated in their standard mode; running boost roughly halves the puffs and doubles the figure. And 0 mg devices cost the same per puff as their 5% twins, because the hardware is identical.
